چکیده

Due to a lack of historical data, there is gap in the literature with regard total factor productivity (TFP) series long run for Italy. In this article, by combing information from literature, original TFP estimates assessed “price dual” methodology (where changes prices are used capture physical output), and Cobb–Douglas production equation, we first introduce set new measures Italy between 1360 1770 as well various global regions c. 1400 2010. Second, resulting dataset allows us decompose spillover effects technology local run. We find that played non-significant part determining Italy’s decline 1600 1800. However, component grew faster during period 1890–2010 reached peaks phases declining (trend) growth, such two world wars starting second globalisation (1989–2010).

Total Factor Productivity Growth, Technical Change and Technical Efficiency Change in Asian Economies: Decomposition Analysis

The aim of this paper is to analyze total factor productivity (TFP) growth and its components in Asian countries applying Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) to the time series data of 44 Asian countries from 2000 to 2010. Using Battese and Coelli approach, TFP is divided into technical efficiency change and technical change. TFP decomposition using SFA method for the years 1998 to 2007 indicate...

Decomposition of Total Factor Productivity Growth of Pistachio Production in Rafsanjan Region of Iran

The stochastic frontier production model is one of the most used ways to estimate efficiency and productivity. The purpose of this paper was to decompose the sources of total factor productivity (TFP) growth into technological progress, changes in technical efficiency and changes in economies of scale. In this paper, we also used Divisia index in order to estimate production function. A random ...
